Shannon is originally from Seattle and has been living in California for over the past 20+ years. She joined Local 800 after completing the ADG Production Apprentice program and graduated from The American Film Institute with an MFA in Production Design. She has a strong background in theater with a fellowship from The American Conservatory Theater, and earned her BA in Theater Design and Technology from the University of California-Santa Cruz. After undergrad, she worked as a properties artisan, scenic artist, design assistant, and scenic designer on a variety of theatrical projects for many years. Shannon has followed her design passion into film where her postgraduate work has included projects with Netflix, Paramount+, Showtime, Marvel, Starz, NBC, Universal, Peacock, Apple TV, and HBO.

The art department is the closest to an office job Shannon has ever had. While working in theater she was on her feet all day painting or building. She also worked for an organic produce farm for almost a decade; drove 30ft box trucks, pallet jacks and was very used to long days. Not to mention, her love for adventure landed her many summers working in Alaska as a deckhand on a salmon trawler. So there is not a lot this woman cannot handle.
